*Nominating Chairperson is Jennifer Jackson. Please contact Jennifer if you are interested in serving on 2004 Board of Directors.

* Annual Meeting to be held in March. Elections will take place at the Annual Meeting.

* Appeal for Volunteers.

2) Treasurer's Report - Carol McLaughlin

*Fall Event raised $3,300.00

($1,000 admissions, $1,200 donations, all food/beverages donated by local businesses)

*Entire Year: $4,400.00

*Reminder for January, Annual Fees dues for 2004.

3) Introduction:

County Commissioner Jeff Koons

*Airport Noise:

1) Match dollars with County. Challenge to City to do the same, directed to Commissioner Mitchell.

"A Look Back"

*CCAN - Public Input Process. Input for fees on noise, establish noise limit.

*1985 - First Noise Study Conducted

*Airport collects -0- County Tax dollars and -0- Property Tax dollars.

PBI relies on FAA for funding.

*1983 - Level "65", Noise zone spilled into zone as far east as Atlantic Ocean, 30 Private Jets per day.

*1990 - FAA Grandfathered $2,600 Charge, 7:00 am - 10:00 pm, no stage 2 aircraft.

*1993 - Update. New Noise Map. Runway Split Plan. Shared East/West Paths. 10:00 pm - 10:00 am WEST bound required.

*1998 - Sound Insulation for homes, schools, churches. Neighbors

participate, northern boundary as Greenwood.

*1999 - Stage 2 Aircraft Phase Out Policy. Runway Extension closer to

Military Trail at take-off, higher over EAST neighborhoods.

*2002 - Changes after Sept. 11, 2001. "Fanning" discontinued. Departure is "straight in - straight out"

*2002 - 92% Quiet Jets, 8% Stage 2 Jets

*2002 - Level "65", only noted at former "Hillcrest" neighborhood. No

homes in "65". (75,000 homes in Miami at "60")

*2004 - 200 Daily Flights. 100 Arrivals + 100 Departures, 100 Private

Jets per day.

*$2,600 Fee to fly GA Jets. Have to provide commerce because PBI accepts Federal Funds.

*Plans - PBI accumulated 120 acres to WEST, encouraging "Light" Business Zone, Haverhill/Military, industrial.

*Why Planes Drift North - Wind

RESIDENTS SPEAK:

*Concern to protect home values

*What can neighborhoods to increase punitive fees? Nothing. $2,600

agreed to without inflation factor.

*Will international flights increase? More fuel = more throttle?

*4:15 am Flight - UPS plane

*Cargo Plane flights to increase? No - directing to Fort Lauderdale and Miami

*I-95 ramps into PBI. 25-year improvement plan.

*Talk of Tri-Rail, Monorail - Miami Airport, $500 million cost.

*Noisy Landings are big concern.

*Petty Park, Noise Monitoring Equipment

6) Crime Meeting Follow Up?

Robbery at Alton Road, residents home at the time. Lock your doors if

working outside in yard.

7) Gail Levine - Is Prostitution being Monitored?

Problem at Albemarle and Dixie.
