1) Called to Order by Marion Holloway, Welcome to everyone – 6:30pm
2) Secretary’s Report – Richard Brown, Recap of the previous general meeting minutes.
3) Treasurer’s Report – Pat Byrnes
4) Committee Reports a) Beautification, etc – Lila Young 1. Tax Exempt Application Status – There have been a few calls with the IRS, application still in progress. 2. Marathon of the Palm Beaches – Brochures were passed out – wish to enter the Wacky Water Station contest – looking for volunteers (hourly help 6am to 10 am). Read, White and Blue theme. Would like kids to dress up as well. 3. National Historic Designation – On hold until the tax exemption has been granted.
b) Fall Festival Report - Richard Brown 1. Nov 12th – 45 Min auction, 8 to 10 PM music. 2. Donation of auction items exceeding $25 in value greatly appreciated 3. Donation of time or supplies greatly appreciated
c) Gates to Prospect Park and Monceaux – Ron Byrnes
5) Old Business a) Status of the Good Will / Wenonah Place site – Marion Holloway
6) New Business a) Proposal to plant a tree in a park by Tom Hewitt (“Tom the Mailman”) b) Donation to Okeeheelee Park for Dr. Brandon Equestrian Center c) Hurricane Katrina efforts d) Request: Ideas for topics of interest for upcoming meetings 1.
