Agenda for the General Meeting 1) Called to Order by Marion Holloway, Welcome to everyone – 6:30pm - 23 attendees signed in. 2) Secretary’s Report – Recap of the previous general meeting minutes. Key points: 1. Southland Park pursuing National Historic registration. Possibility of Prospect Park / Monceaux in a joint effort. Our first step is the receipt of the 501c filing. 2. Locations of the Fire Hydrants in our area. 3) Treasurer’s Report – Good response with the recent request for annual dues, however we need to continue with our fund raising efforts through membership drives and events. 4) Report on application for 501c application - The 501c application was submitted thanks to the hard work of Lila and Jim Young! The document was over 60 pages and has been received by the authorities. 5) Report on CCAN meeting (Airport Noise) - The CCAN meeting was attended by two members of our association. The proposed ordinance has now been change to only include new development. Further follow up and a revised draft of the ordnance to be posted on the Airport Noise page on our website. 6) Committee Reports a) Beautification: Lila Young 1. Tree down in Westminster Park – Survey sent to all residences in our area. Results from 65 responses were 44 to raise the tree, 19 to replace it and 2 neutral. Next steps are for the board to submit a letter to the city requesting the tree be righted. 2. Red Cross House – April 8th for 3 weeks on the corner of Sunset and Almeria 3. Flamingo Park – Garden Tour – April 3rd - $10 admission 4. Monceaux Trees – Newly planted Coconut palms are dying. Reason is unknown at this time. Jim Young b) Nominations for the Floor – None c) Elections of Board Members – Election unanimously approved 8) Neighborhood Yard Sale – Elaine volunteer to chair, 6 weeks to obtain a permit. 9) Palm Beach County Sheriff Foundation Homeland Expo: Family Fun, Exhibits Saturday March 12, 2005 10am to 2pm on Clematis Street Downtown West Palm Beach Contact Gail Levine 561-833-1522 10) Open Discussion a) Rhonda Grammer to assist is resolving issues on Monceaux, to discuss further at the next board meeting b) Patricia High, representing Central Park HOA presented construction plans for Wenonah Place and requested our assistance in blocking the proposed design. The developer is requesting a variance from MF 20 to MF 32. The design calls for multiple 2 and 4 story building location on the lot currently housing the Goodwill store back to Olive. 11) Meeting Adjourned 7:40PM | |||||
